First, a look into the history of Bebenhausen!

Bebenhausen was founded in 1180 which is over 800 years ago! That is so crazy to think that Bebenhausen is still here standing with us today and we get the opportunity to shoot photos here. That is absolutely amazing. Bebenhausen was overtaken and built to be the richest monastery in the region. Between 1534 and 1560, it was turned into a boarding school and then the number of monks living there went down drastically. Then in 1648, the monastery was fully dissolved.

In 1807, the kings of BW (Baden Wuerttemburg), took over Bebenhausen and in 1868 it was turned into a royal hunting palace which quickly became a big hit for monarchs!

Bebenhausen is surrounded by the Schoenbuch nature reserve which covers over 156 square KM and over 86% is all forests. This is one of the biggest Medieval monasterys in BW.
